To uphold the quality and reputation of Connecting Planet, your use of Connecting Planet is subject to these program policies. If you are found to be in violation of our policies at any time, as determined by Connecting Planet in its sole discretion, we may warn you or suspend or terminate your account.
Please note that we may change our policies at any time, and pursuant to our Terms of Use, it is your responsibility to keep up-to-date with and adhere to the policies posted here.
Prohibited Actions
In addition to (and/or as some examples of) the violations described in Section 3 of the Terms of Use, users may not:
- Generate or facilitate unsolicited commercial email ("spam"). Such activity includes, but is not limited to
. imitating or impersonating another person or his, her or its email address, or creating false accounts for the purpose of sending spam
. data mining any web property (including Connecting Planet) to find email addresses
. sending unauthorized mail via open, third-party servers
. sending emails to users who have requested to be removed from a mailing list
. selling, exchanging or distributing to a third party the email addresses of any person without such person's knowing and continued consent to such disclosure
. sending unsolicited emails to significant numbers of email addresses belonging to individuals and/or entities with whom you have no pre-existing relationship
- Send, upload, distribute or disseminate or offer to do the same with respect to any unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, infringing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
- Intentionally distribute viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or any other items of a destructive or deceptive nature
- Conduct or forward pyramid schemes and the like
- Transmit content that may be harmful to minors
- Impersonate another person (via the use of an email address or otherwise) or otherwise misrepresent yourself or the source of any email
- Illegally transmit another's intellectual property or other proprietary information without such owner's or licensor's permission
- Use Connecting Planet to violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others
- Promote or encourage illegal activity
- Interfere with other Connecting Planet users' enjoyment of the Service
- Create multiple user accounts in connection with any violation of the Agreement or create user accounts by automated means or under false or fraudulent pretences
- Sell, trade, resell or otherwise exploit for any unauthorized commercial purpose or transfer any Connecting Planet account
- Modify, adapt, translate, or reverse engineer any portion of the Connecting Planet Service
- Remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the Connecting Planet Service
- Reformat or frame any portion of the web pages that are part of the Connecting Planet Service
- Use the Connecting Planet Service in connection with illegal peer-to-peer file sharing
Security
You must promptly notify Connecting Planet of any breach of security related to the Services, including but not limited to unauthorized use of your password or account. To help ensure the security of your password or account, please sign out from your account at the end of each session.
Account Inactivity
Connecting Planet will terminate your if you fail to login to your account for a period of 12 months.

The Connecting Planet Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use ConnectingPlanet products and services, including information provided when you use Connecting Planet.
In addition, the following describes our privacy practices that are specific to Connecting Planet.
Personal information
- You need an Account to access Connecting Planet. Connecting Planet asks for some personal information when you create an Account, including your alternate contact information and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access. An Account allows you to access many of our services that require registration.
- When you use Connecting Planet, our servers automatically record certain information about your use of Connecting Planet. Uses
- Connecting Planet maintains and processes your Connecting Planet account and its contents to provide the Connecting Planet service to you and to improve our services. The Connecting Planet service includes relevant advertising and related links based on the IP address, content of messages and other information related to your use of Connecting Planet.
- Connecting Planet’s computers process the information in your messages for various purposes, including formatting and displaying the information to you, delivering advertisements and related links, preventing unsolicited bulk email (spam), backing up your messages, and other purposes relating to offering you Connecting Planet.
- Connecting Planet may send you information related to your Connecting Planet account or other Connecting Planet services.
Information sharing and onward transfer
- When you send email, Connecting Planet includes information such as your email address and the email itself as part of that email.
- We provide advertisers only aggregated non-personal information such as the number of times on of their ads was clicked. We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the Connecting Planet Privacy Policy, such as when we believe we are required to do so by law.

We want to keep the cool, fun, friendly, intimate and trusted atmosphere.
Contributed questions in ask Connecting Planet should be of general interest.
Other information requests should be posted in Discussions.
* No overly chaotic, childish or offensive language, eroding our sense of trust and intimacy.
* No threads in poor taste and no personal attacks
* Headings should reflect content and not be misleading to attract interest.
* No commercial threads
* No unnecessary capital letters, exclamation or question marks.
Please use the Report Abuse or Decline button when needed.
Members with multiple abuse reports or declines will be suspended.
We reserve the right to remove threads, and suspend those who do not follow our policy.
We do not assume the liability of any content in individual postings.
We want to protect the privacy of our members. Therefore we do not accept that members publish any content from the site. We do not accept that members exploit our brand name for external events, or publish content or photographs in the name of Connecting Planet. Members who do not adhere to this policy will be subject to exclusion from the community. We do not take any responsibility for events that are organized by members.
